I was born in 1953 and my dad owned Rancho Jeep Supply (later it became Rancho Suspension). My dad taught me a lot about business from a very young age. One time when I was 7 years old my dad came home and asked for my help in a business decision. I listened to what he said and told him what I thought and he said it was good advice. I did not realize until years later it was my dad teaching me about business not which way I advised him. He also told me that selling items was a lot like raising pigs on a farm. I see many in the industry offering lousy warranty, such as parts only no labor or short time frame. Let me be clear if a manufacture will not stand behind their product with an excellent warranty you should not buy that product. TRUE backs their products with one of the best warranties in the industry. The warranty on TRUE REFRIGERATION is 7 years parts, 7 years labor and 7 year compressor warranty which is EXCELLENT (most manufacturers offer 2 years or less on parts and labor). Many sellers will sell you used equipment at a very high price that is old and you should not buy. Remember most manufactures only honor warranty to ORIGINAL purchaser, so if it is 1 year(or 1 day) old and you buy used it has no factory warranty. If you find an item that is only a year or two old and at least 1/2 the price delivered as what I sell for, you may consider it, but do not pay a lot for used and only buy very late model units. Also when you find a used item buy only major brand names that have a great reputation. The 1st vehicle I drove was a military M29 Weasel (basically a tank with the top halve cutoff). My dad, Clarence Shook was an inventor. In the 1950's he took a World War II Jeep and put a big engine, big brakes, an overdrive, roll bar and made a fun vehicle basically the start of the SUV market that you see today. In early 1961 Clarence (my dad), Vic Hickey and 2 of his friends created the Trailblazer . This was 4 wheel independent suspension long travel suspension, disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, aluminum body, had 210 horsepower and weighed around 2,000 pounds (went off road like a bat out of H---) In 1964 they sold it to General Motors and in 1967 GMC came out with the Blazer (not at all like the Trailblazer). In 1972 my dad got very sick and I quit college, and with my brother, took over the family business. in the 1970's we designed and invented Rancho Suspension. Which grew to a worldwide business.
