This beautiful piece has been cleaned and oiled and is in good condition. A video of it in operation is available at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c90QD8qi2_2uxl1I7Wi3_t_A23JgFYJC/view?usp=drive_link. Our first test was with it sitting on a carpeted floor and the treadle would bump the carpet occasionally. After moving it onto a hard floor for the test shown in the video, the treadle did not hit the floor and it also operated more quietly since it was more stable sitting on the hard flooring. My friend who demonstrates it in the video gave a Singer Treadle machine to his daughter when she was 8 years old. She became very skilled in using it and completed many projects over the years including making her wedding dress. Consider making this one a gift to a young budding seamstress that you know. If you know how to demonstrate sewing and bobbin winding then please feel free to come by and try it out. The serial number is AA729683 which falls into the following range listed at ismacs.net.
