We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to manage our fleet maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will also require strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. You will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet remains in safe and optimal operating condition. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a fleet or automotive mechanic. Experience in vehicle air conditioning (AC) diagnostics and repair required. Experience in wheelchair ramp and adaptive equipment diagnostic and repair preferable. ASE certification(s) preferred (especially in HVAC and Brakes). Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various conditions. Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize repairs. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and AC system issues. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary.
