There is a video going around right now in which a live jazz band performs the background music to "Mario Kart Wii" while people play on the projector. Link to TikTok video below for the original idea... This could be a fun event for the Chicagoland area.

I play drums and I have an extensive video game collection, so why not find other like-minded musicians that want to join me in this fun venture. My thoughts would be to have the "Mario Kart 64" version as the game of choice. As the patrons engage in a 4 player game on the original Nintendo 64 the band would provide the soundtrack to the racetrack selected. When a player gets a star, we high-tail it into the star theme!
I'll post a link at the bottom for another version that could work as well; Drums, bass, guitar, and synth. Simple. To complete a jazz band I would need a trumpet, trombone, sax, etc.
