Los Angeles Apparel is a vertically integrated garment manufacturer based in South Central Los Angeles. Our team is passionate, innovative, and dedicated to redefining what local manufacturing and retail can be. We are hosting a internship program in NYC for our new retail operations. You will be working directly with Founder Dov Charney. We are looking for students who have interest/ability in: Merchandising Store Construction Art History Display Builds Apparel Modeling Photography Interior Design Apparel and Product Display Set-Up Lighting Arrangement Mannequin Curation Graphic Placement and Design Product Line Management Great Handy Skills to Cultivate: Painting Skills Stock Organization Basic Electrical Work (Power and Construction) Tool Handling Skills Workshop and Woodworking Experience or Interest Organizing Acumen The ability to lift 50+ LBS If you do not have *all* of these skills feel free to apply. We will be building out an entire 25,000 SQFT retail store, are looking for people to start ASAP (5/16 onward). Positions are multifaceted and will reflect different responsibilities as the internship continues. Internships run during the Summer quarter (1-3 months) and may result in employment. Students are also welcome as this is a great way to learn and get involved with the apparel merchandising industry.
