Jubilee Railroad Wilderness Lodge (formerly Railroad Park Resort) is seeking a skilled and personable Front Desk Associate to greet guests, take reservations, and help customers with the check in and check out process. This role will work primarily on weekends, with other shifts available during the weekdays as well. This position offers an opportunity to join our hospitality and lodging team that is expanding and developing a 43-acre property, featuring historic caboose lodging, vintage cabins, a farm-to-table restaurant, scenic campground facilities, a year-round stream, a meadow for events, and connection to many hiking trails. Our property consists of: Lodging: 23 custom train caboose hotel rooms and 4 vintage cabins Dining: Full-service restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner Event Spaces: Gift shop, four apartments/houses for events, and "The Elementary School" (a renovated 20,000 square foot classroom building in downtown Dunsmuir) Camping: 45-space RV park and tent campground with game room and camp store Recreation: Pool/hot tub, river access, ponds, dog park, playground, and more Scenery: Stunning views of Castle Crags and surrounding forest lands Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Welcome guests, process check-ins/check-outs, and handle payments accurately Provide enthusiastic local area recommendations to guests Respond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally with attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby and gift shop retail areas Assist guests during check in and check out, phone interaction, and face-to-face interaction Assist guests with questions, directions, event schedules, and other information regarding the resort to help create a magical experience for all Strong computer skills and knowledge is required Must feel comfortable handling money and possesses a high level of integrity Ability to reflect a professional image while maintaining guest privacy Must stay calm in highly stressful situations and be knowledgeable of emergency situations Will be stationed both indoor at the Front Desk and outdoors as needed to provide assistance to guests. Handle a high volume of transactions, including the handling of many different forms of payment (cash, credit cards, gift cards, etc.) Support local projects and monitor any potential impacts on the guests and team experience Work in a fast-paced environment and independently keeping up to date with changing product knowledge and policy and procedure changes Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs Assists other Guest Services personnel with projects when needed Perform any related duties as requested by the management team Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Problem-solving abilities in fast-paced hospitality settings Strong computer skills (Google Workspace and ReNexus reservation systems) Positive, energetic attitude with genuine passion for customer service Attention to detail, especially with financial transactions Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred: Experience in hospitality, property management, or related field Knowledge of Northern California tourism and Mount Shasta region Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills Training in business or hospitality management Additional language skills Experience with POS and Lodging booking systems (training provided) Background in events management or customer service Pay & Benefits Pay: $18.00/hour Job Type: Part-time/hourly Schedule: Must be available to work on the weekends Paid sick leave Employee discounts on lodging, dining and retail items Access to training and professional development How to Apply We will accept/review applications on a rolling basis Hiring process: On-site interview with management team Background check and references; Offer extension Work begins ASAP in Dunsmuir, CA
