Designer of Smart Home Systems We are looking for a skilled designer from the AV Integration and Automation industry. In this role, you will be required to discuss with our Sales Team and Project managers, design concepts and develop project designs. To ensure success as a Design Engineer, you should have extensive experience working in the Automation/Integration Industry and a keen eye for detail. You need to know the Automation and Integration business well. Crestron, Savant, networks, etc. • Developing project layouts using supplied Architectural Designs of Residential and Commercial sites. • Present rough design drafts for client approval. • Ensure designs meet required safety and structural standards.• • Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs. • Present various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations.• • Understand integrated systems that must work across multiple departments. • Create drawings of Home Integration, Automation, and Home Theater projects • Site visit with Sales Consultant as the Technical expert to answer technical queries, take pictures, take detailed field notes • Study Layouts and Schematics and all other documentation and determine methods, materials and equipment needed to provide a full turnkey installation. • Proficiency with Lighting, Motorized Window covering, AV, surveillance, etc.. (see www.lascala.ca) a must • Preparation of Schematic drawing for AV and Automation along with others in the Design Department. • Excellent technical design skills. • Good communication skills. • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail. • Ability to manage a project.
