Rubrik, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA has multiple openings for tech positions, including Senior Software Engineer 1. Responsibilities: Design, build, and implement software solutions to optimize and scale the Rubrik platform. Duties include: developing software systems using innovative computer science and software engineering principles while ensuring proper protocols are in place to rapidly roll out upgrades and new features; analyzing and optimizing expansive SQL queries; executing ongoing testing and analysis of current systems, including independent performance analysis, diagnosis, and troubleshooting customer issues in various component areas; scoping and researching possible solutions and technologies for ambiguous problems related to coding, security, integration, production, and others; determining design solutions to problematic programming and to reduce technical debt; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Rubrik headquarters in Palo Alto, CA. Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 6 months of experience in the job offered or related position. 6 months of experience working with: Java, Scala, C++, or similar Object-Oriented languages; 6 months of experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or similar data management systems; 6 months of experience architecting and developing large scale systems; 6 months of experience working with client/server architectures and application architectures; and 6 months of experience working with large codebases on cross-functional teams.
