Rubrik, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA has multiple openings for tech positions, including Senior Product Designer 1. Responsibilities: The Senior Product Designer 1 will champion the design process; design and develop user-facing graphic features for the Rubrik platform, including user research, conceptual development, and implementing final designs into existing applications; create graphic/visual user-facing dashboards and tools for Rubrik products, by utilizing digital illustration and graphics software to design, develop, and iterate designs in line with brand-building guidelines; leverage strong analytical skills to help solve complex graphic design problems; produce deliverables at every stage of the design process, such as storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes and pixel-perfect visual assets; partner and collaborate with team of graphic designers, researchers, product managers and engineers throughout the design process - from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes to participating in usability testing with customers; give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise Rubrik’s bar for quality; cultivate relationships with customers to ensure design truly reflects the needs of the users served (UX); become familiar with Rubrik customers and be able to represent their voice in product discussions; take part in evolution of Rubrik design language and the design system that upholds it; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in Palo Alto, CA. Education: Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: 6 months of experience in the job offered or related position. 6 months of experience working with Sketch, Figma, or similar design tools; 6 months of experience developing wireframes, prototypes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and site maps; 6 months of experience working complex design problems for web or desktop; and Outstanding portfolio, showcasing work with a foundation in interaction, visual design, and idea generation with at least one complex web or desktop project.
