COMPANY OVERVIEW Slow Fox Dance Halls are dynamic, community-driven dance studios and event venues for adults and teens across the northern Bay Area. At Slow Fox, we believe that anyone, from any background, can benefit from the skills and confidence that dance provides. We specialize in partnered dances — including social styles like salsa, tango, country, and swing, as well as more technical ballroom forms such as waltz, rumba, and foxtrot. Beyond the dance floor, we focus on helping our students develop leadership, presence, and connection through movement. Our studios actively promote dance in the community through performances, parties, competitions, and other high-energy events, and we create tailored programs to help each dancer meet their personal goals. Slow Fox is a people-first company where building strong relationships and fostering an inspiring, supportive atmosphere are at the heart of everything we do. JOB OVERVIEW Paid Part-Time Training, with opportunity for Part- or Full-Time Position As an Instructor-in-Training at Slow Fox, you will be enrolled in a paid 2-8 week Instructor Training Program designed to build your leadership, communication, and technical skills as a member of the Slow Fox Team. You will learn how to lead private and group dance lessons, how to read and adapt to different learning styles, and how to motivate and coach new dancers. The program includes mastery of the Slow Fox Dance 101 syllabus, as well as all Moves and Figures from our Level 1 Salsa, Club Hustle, and Bachata Syllabi. You will also develop advanced coaching and student management techniques, studying principles of motivation, leadership psychology, and four distinct teaching styles used to engage and inspire a wide range of personalities. Upon completion of the program, you will take your Teacher Certification Exam, qualifying you for upgraded hours and pay — and preparing you for continued growth within the company.
