This role involves traveling to customer locations daily to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of microscopy and histology instruments. Monthly commissions: $1,000 - $2,000. Car allowance available for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on microscopes and histology instruments. Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance. Visit customer sites (labs, universities, hospitals, etc.) in San Diego areas to manage service needs, contracts, and purchase orders. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering high-quality service. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a field service technician. Familiarity with mechanical assemblies and basic electrical troubleshooting. Technical degree (AS in mechanical/electrical), trade school, or equivalent field experience. Self-motivated, organized, and customer-service oriented. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Experience with microscopy and histology equipment is a plus (training provided). Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Windows. EPA Class 1 refrigeration license is a bonus but not required. Preferred Experience Candidates with a background in servicing analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, or biomedical instrumentation are strongly encouraged to apply.
