Version date: 11/29/2023 VA IRB: 6078 OHSU IRB: 25536 Study Title: Sex differences in trauma, inflammation and brain function and the implications for treatment efficacy in alcohol use disorder Volunteers needed for research study about differences in brain function between alcohol-dependent men and women. Study visits will include interviews, surveys, physical exam, MRI brain scans, taking a study drug for 12 weeks, tests of concentration, memory, and problem solving, and giving blood, urine, and cheek swab samples. Participation will last for 8 visits over about 4 months. Participation is strictly voluntary and confidential. You may or may not benefit from being in this study. The study is for research purposes and is not considered treatment. Participants are paid $500 in the form of VA-approved payment methods for completing all study visits.
