Walking U Ranch LLC has opening for a ranch manager/caretaker, to live at Ranch. Compensation depends on applicant's skills, experience and qualifications. Ranch provides house for manager/caretaker (and family) to live in, as part of compensation. Ranch's most recent manager/caretaker, of many years, was able to do the necessary ranch work, plus had a second job part-time outside Ranch. Manager/caretaker feeds Ranch horses 2 x day; and feeds cattle herd hay, daily, during times when there is insufficient grass to feed cattle. Manager/caretaker checks water troughs that water cattle, to be sure filled; fixes pvc water water pipes that break; checks on cattle herd; supervises hay delivery to Ranch storage barn by hay contractor; splits firewood with Ranch's diesel powered wood splitter; does additional chores/maintenance as assigned by Ranch.
