SEASONAL PARK CUSTODIAN Hiring Range: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour About the Position: We offer flexible work schedules, ranging from 20-40 hours per week, the opportunity to earn paid vacation time and overtime in the first few months of employment, and we work with school schedules. Most opportunities provide for a six-month season, and, in some instances, up to 9 months. This is a seasonal position tentatively starting April 1st and ending October 31st. Duties and tasks include a full range of custodial duties related to the care, cleaning, and minor maintenance of assigned buildings and facilities throughout the City’s park system. What You'll Do: Perform indoor/outdoor facility cleaning and maintenance. Clean, sanitize and deodorize restroom facilities and fixtures including sinks, urinals and toilets. Maintain fixtures and replenish supplies in restrooms. Clean and remove waste at designated City Park shelters. Maintain custodial equipment in proper working condition, report other repairs to senior staff as needed. Maintain inventory; check supplies and order as needed. Secure facilities after normal business hours. Perform other duties of a similar nature. This position is a safety sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed. What We're Looking For: Must be 18 years or older. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination. Understand of best practices for cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment. You will be trained in safe work practices, methods, and techniques of cleaning and sterilizing facilities. If you have a strong attention to detail and sense of pride in the work you complete, the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, work independently in absence of supervision, and the desire to provide great customer service we want to invest in you. Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid Colorado Driver License. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
