Lead Dispatcher
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for leading the dispatching team in communicating with our OTR/Local Drivers and customers. Our ideal candidate will possess exemplary leadership , attention to detail, and problem-solving skills with at least 3-5 years experience in reefer temperature controlled dispatch. Qualifications -The ability to *multitask efficiently*, being able to focus on more than one issue at a time during much of your average workday. -The ability to enter/retrieve data from the computer while communicating on the phone. -Exemplary time management, negotiating, communication, problem-solving, and reasoning skills. -Attention to detail with good follow-up skills are essential to every area of this position. -Possess geographic knowledge of the United States. -Minimum high school or equivalent education is mandatory, a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Responsibilities, Including but not limited to: -Oversee daily reefer dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient freight movement. -Utilize logistics and transportation management systems to optimize routes and schedules. -Communicate effectively with fellow dispatch team, drivers, and clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues. -Manage multi-line phone systems and maintain accurate records of shipments and communications. -Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions. -What a qualified candidate can expect from DTS: An opportunity to learn a unique career and diversify your talents with a fast paced and growing company!
