My name is Kian, founder of Kian Prep (www.linkedin.com/in/kazimpoor). I have scored in the 99th percentile for SAT, ACT, SSAT, and a host of SAT II and AP exams. More importantly, I have helped countless students master these exams during the 15 years I have been tutoring. While standardized tests are challenging exams, they can be mastered with discipline, strategy, and practice. I have helped a number of students significantly improve their standardized test scores and college admissions prospects.
In 2016, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa with special honors on a full-tuition scholarship from the University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Honors Program. Subsequently, I received my Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School with honors. During this period, I have worked at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Department of Justice, and an international law firm.
As a tutor and college admissions consultant, my clients have been accepted to the following schools: Harvard College, Yale University, Stanford University, and other top-tier institutions. My teaching philosophy centers on establishing trust and rapport with my students, many of whom attend the following schools: the Sidwell Friends School, Georgetown Day School, Potomac School, Field School, Maret School, Holton-Arms School, and St. Albans.
Beyond standardized tests, I also tutor the following math, pre-medical, and humanities courses: algebra I/II, pre-calculus, trigonometry, general chemistry, biology, genetics, biochemistry, physics, philosophy, English, history, psychology, and sociology. I work with elementary, middle school, high school, college, and graduate students.
