The funny thing about folks buying big Adventure motorcycles is that almost everyone wants to be seen on a brazen, gnarly, capable of single track Super Bike, but 9 out of 10 will never leave the pavement. Kind of like Jeeps. The Triumph Tiger 1200GT PRO has all of the aspects of the Dual Sporting reality for most of us but dishes up and delivers real world comfort and riding experiences Triumph Corp has been fine tuning for the past 30 years. Besides, who amongst us Walter Mitty’s types can manage, with any sort of finesse, 150 HP in the dirt? The great Internet supplies all of the important information on the Tiger 1200GT PRO but what caught my eye was the T-Plane Crankshaft (it is got to sound great). Sort of MotoGP like is the Seat Height lowering when you press the “Home” that automatically drops the suspension by 20mm when you come to a stop. Wow! There are so many other Electronic Features designed into this Motorcycle, listing them would be like me reading an “Owner’s Manual”, it just is not going to happen as I am old and impatient. I still cannot program a VCR. The history of the bike is pretty simple. The owner lost his prior Triumph in the Alameda Fire a few years back and once the new house was up, a new bike was in the works. A road trip to Cascade Moto in Eugene filled the new garage with the Tiger 1200GT PRO. Receipts for oil changes at 587 miles, 3,714 miles and finally at 4,710 miles are by the book. A Brake Fluid change was done at 3,714 miles while the bike was at the dealer as was all of the Factory Warranty work required. Then there was the Factory recall on the rear Pirelli Tire. Rather than driving from Medford to Eugene and waiting for the work to be done, the bike was delivered locally to Precision Motorrad in Medford and a brand new Pirelli installed. The bike as it appears in the images is exactly the way it was dropped off. I have never seen a cleaner motorcycle that was actively being ridden. It gives you an idea of how the bike was kept and maintained. The selling price is $13,995 and miles 5,195. The VIN is SMTP22V40PTAZ9691.
