By the way, have you had the chance to pick up a stock exhaust system? It feels like it is half the weight of the whole bike! A brief recount of the 1200S which was redesigned in 2017. It has Ducati’s 1,198cc Testastretta 11 degree DS L-twin putting out 129 hp at 9,250 rpm. Service intervals have become rational with oil changes at 8,000 miles and valve adjustment services every 19,000. The “S” comes with Ohlins Suspension which is always a desired premium for Sport riding along with a set of massive Brembo four-piston M50 front Calipers. So after all of this, why is Andy selling his cherished, “OMg, I have to have this bike”? Being about 230#’s and 6’4”, riding the Monster was like the preverbal monkey and a football.
