Workers Needed for Traveling Cycling Campsite Event

compensation: Total compensation ranges from $1200 to $1450 which includes tips

We're hiring for an event we have in late July, primarily setting up tents/campsites for a cycling event. The event is in Iowa and is called RAGBRAI, www.ragbrai.com, and we provide transportation to Iowa on July 18th and back from Iowa on July 26th. Meals are provided along with a tent and air mattress for sleeping. Once at the campsite in Iowa, the daily work will be outdoors, and we start by taking down tents, hauling luggage and breaking down the campsite each morning at 6 am (we usually finish take down by 9am), travel to the next town and then set up the next campsite. Travel between campsites is anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours typically, and we usually finish setting up camp between 1:30 and 3:30 each afternoon. Once camp is set, the hard work is done for the day and our crew splits up into shifts to shower and relax. The crew that stays around camp makes sure our coolers are stocked, snack tubs are full and handles miscellaneous tasks. Campsite setup and take down includes a fair amount of manual labor and you must be in good shape and able to carry at least 50lbs, but it is a great chance to travel and make some money. Our customers are friendly and great to deal with. If you enjoy meeting new people, traveling, camping and don't mind hard work this can be a fun gig. If you're able to drive a truck and trailer and are comfortable pulling a 18' to 26' trailer or are good at driving a box truck, that is a plus. It's temporary work, and if you do a good job and enjoy the first event, you'll have an opportunity to work other events, as we have several each season. Many of our workers come back each year and some take off from other jobs because they enjoy traveling and working with the other crew members. We pay a flat rate for the event plus a share of the tips from customers. Our pay starts at $750 for the event plus cash tips which have ranged from $400 to over $600 on recent events. We also provide meals during the event. Our company is Padres Cycle Inn, www.padrescycleinn.com, if you want to learn more about our company. To apply, email/reply to this post with the following information and we will get back in touch with you. Name: Phone Number: Why are you interested? (Money, experience, travel.....) Do you have driving a box truck or pulling a trailer? Do you have other related experience or skills? Thanks! Jimmy and Dave
