Building Maintenance Apprentice
Job Summary: A building maintenance apprentice works alongside fully qualified maintenance technicians to learn the skills of the trade. As a building maintenance apprentice, your responsibilities are to assist with a variety of duties, monitoring, maintaining and repairing building systems operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, heating and cooling. Skills Required: Building maintenance apprentice is an entry-level position, so no experience is necessary. But those with some experience as a maintenance technician or who already know how to install and repair equipment may have a shorter period as an apprentice. You must understand electrical and mechanical fundamentals, AC motor control devices and circuits, PLC maintenance and troubleshooting, fluid power principles, and the basics of instrumentation and process control. A maintenance apprentice also needs good dexterity and fine motor control to perform your job duties. · Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building · Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance · Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises · Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects · Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations · Evacuate building in the event of an emergency · Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure · Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities Work schedule: Mon-Friday 7am-11 am Language: Bilingual (Required) click on link for application-Message from Metroclean- Thank you for your interest! https://wkf.ms/3tTEG7z
