The scheduler will handle appointment coordination, insurance verification, and front desk support to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. Responsibilities: Schedule and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or portal Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and billing departments Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and follow-up reminders Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling or medical office support Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athena) Experience with insurance verification and understanding of medical terminology Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree a plus) An Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
