Rare vintage Power Mac G4 Cube system, complete, except no hard drive. $600 cash (physical cash, not virtual cash). Local pick up only. There is a working version of this on eBay for $1,250,000. I believe that it will start up a new hard drive, but I don’t guarantee it. I bought this Cube G4 system used, from a Mac technician in 2006. To the best of my knowledge it includes all the original parts. Included is the monitor, power supply, speakers, keyboard, CPU and mouse. (an extra matching mouse is included.) I loved it because it was completely quiet - no fan. The computer worked through the summer of 2024, but the hard drive became noisy and slow, the CD drive wouldn’t eject the disk (there may be a disk in there now), the mouse was intermittent, and the foam surrounds of the speaker were not intact, so the sound was weak and distorted. The computer was not used through the winter. This week I started it, heard the “chord” but then it went dead. I haven’t been able to get it to start again. My suspicion is that the hard drive died. I have no reason to think there is anything else wrong with the CPU. I intended to demo it as working, and then remove the hard drive, but I am selling it now as “not working” and with no hard drive. The hard drive is easy to replace.
