Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage and coordinate the daily schedules of our team of licensed electricians. This includes assigning jobs based on location, electrician skill set, and urgency, while optimizing travel time and minimizing delays. • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming customer calls and inquiries. Professionally and courteously answer phones, gather necessary information, assess the nature of the electrical issue, and schedule service appointments. • Accurately input and maintain customer information, job details, and scheduling data in our dispatch software. Ensure all records are up-to-date and readily accessible. • Proactively communicate with customers regarding appointment confirmations, updates, and potential delays. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through clear and timely communication. • Dispatch electricians with all necessary job information, including work orders, site access details, and any specific customer requirements. • Monitor the progress of ongoing jobs and troubleshoot any scheduling conflicts or unforeseen issues that may arise. Implement effective solutions to maintain efficient workflow. • Collaborate effectively with electricians in the field to ensure they have the information and support they need. • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as generating reports, processing paperwork, and support of our billing process. • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a sometimes demanding environment. • Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or some college coursework preferred. • Proven experience in scheduling, dispatching, customer service, or a related field, preferably within the home services or construction industry preferred but not required. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a strong attention to detail. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including a professional and friendly phone manner. • Proficiency in using computer software including Microsoft Office and Google products is required. Experience with dispatching systems including ComputerEase is a plus. • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work well under pressure. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Familiarity with the Madison and surrounding areas is beneficial.
