Indie Rock Band You Fool! Seeks Bassist

Hi all - we're an established female-fronted indie rock band seeking a bassist. We write original songs, released a debut album last year, and gig semi-regularly. Links and stuff are below, but a few things to know: 1. We're in our 30's - early 40's. Someone over 21, and preferably in their 20's, 30's, or early 40's could probably be a good fit. 2. We gig semi-regularly, but usually pool the funds from gigs to spend on creating merchandise, recording, mixing, and mastering music. (So it might not be the best fit if you're looking for a working band that will help your income). 3. Our next gig is at Songbyrd on July 26th. If you're available to play for that, that's a plus. A more complete list of our upcoming shows is here: https://youfoolband.com/shows 4. We practice in Silver Spring, MD. We have a high quality PA system that you could run your bass into if needed (or you can bring your own amp). 5. You'd likely be learning some songs by ear based upon recordings, and our prior bassist played a 5-string bass (but if you only have a 4-string, you can probably transpose some notes as needed). 6. Gigs we play are usually in DC and surrounding MD and VA area. Usually venues like The Pocket, Songbyrd, Pie Shop, Jammin Java, etc., etc., Band Links: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7sLWjOmEpAvKpo6Hrnzjt0?si=r0S0y9N3RdaN4OZmrX-nZQ https://www.instagram.com/youfoolband Ideal candidates would be interested in indie or alternative rock or its associated genres, strong bassists with good timing and rhythm, and are lacking in drama. We're a group that aim to be pretty normal people and lacking a ton of pretension. If that sounds like you, let us know! We'd likely ask that you first do a quick video call with us first, and then go from there with an audition/practice and see how things gel between us. Thanks!
