We provide a clean, friendly, and professional environment for shooters of all experience levels. Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Firearm Sales Associate / Range Officer to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role will focus heavily on handgun sales, but also includes rifle sales, accessories, and range safety operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about firearms, thrives in a customer service environment, and maintains a strong commitment to safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Customer Service • Assist customers in selecting handguns, rifles, optics, and accessories based on their needs and experience level • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on firearm features, maintenance, and use • Conduct background checks and ensure full compliance with ATF regulations and store policies • Maintain clean, organized displays and assist with restocking inventory • Promote membership programs, training courses, and special events Range Operations • Serve as Range Safety Officer (RSO) during assigned shifts, ensuring all range users follow safety protocols • Perform range walkthroughs and supervise shooting lanes for proper conduct • Provide basic instruction and safety briefings to new shooters as needed • Maintain range cleanliness and assist with equipment checks Qualifications: • Must be 21 years of age or older • Strong knowledge of handguns, rifles, and firearm accessories • Prior experience in firearm sales, retail, or range safety preferred • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must pass a background check and be legally permitted to handle firearms • NRA Range Safety Officer certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred Schedule: • Part-time hours to start (weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed) • Opportunity for increased hours and advancement to full-time based on performance Benefits: • Competitive hourly wage • Employee discounts on products and range time • Training and certification opportunities • Advancement potential in a growing, pro-2A company To Apply: Submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining your experience with firearms and customer service to john@oregonindoorshooting.com.
