This position serves as a critical link between payroll management and payroll operations, ensuring smooth execution of payroll functions while supporting leadership initiatives. Who We’re Looking For: Proven payroll experience, with supervisory or lead responsibilities Strong knowledge of payroll processes, wage/tax laws, and multi-state compliance Experience with payroll software (UKGPro preferred) and Excel-based reporting Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset What You’ll Do: Lead and support Payroll Technicians to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing Oversee daily payroll operations: timekeeping, wage calculations, deductions, and audits Review payroll entries, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure adherence to wage and tax laws Support payroll system management (UKGPro), including testing, updates, and troubleshooting Collaborate with HR and Finance on benefit deductions, employee inquiries, and documentation Ensure payroll issues are resolved quickly with corrective actions to prevent repeat errors Monitor workflows and identify process improvements to drive accuracy and efficiency Stay current on federal, state, and multi-state payroll regulations Prepare payroll reports, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with audits and tax filings Respond to employee questions on pay, benefits, and deductions with clarity and accuracy Qualifications: Associate’s Degree with courses in Accounting, Payroll, and Business + 3 years' progressive payroll and timekeeping experience with a multi-state environment and a minimum 1,000-employee base OR High School Diploma + 5 years' progressive payroll and timekeeping experience with a multi-state environment and a minimum 1,000-employee base At least two years' experience in a lead role is required Our Mission Statement “Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being.” Our mission celebrates diversity.
