Description of event: NASA ASTRO CAMP® is a program in which NASA partners with high-school student groups to hold authentic NASA experiences using NASA curriculum. NASA ASTRO CAMP® curriculum aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and aim to positively impact under-represented and under-served communities. The goal of NASA ASTRO CAMP® is to give ALL students the chance to be involved and experience Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to inspire future astronauts and engineers to learn about space with NASA activities. Our camps this summer are open to students ages 6 - 12 who are interested in learning more about STEM. Each camp includes engaging, hands-on activities that teach students about science in a fun and memorable way! Please prepare your child's own snacks for our snack break and for our June 20 camp, please prepare your child's lunch as well. This summer, we have 2 other camps in June: - Ages 6 - 8: June 20, 9am - 3:30pm - Ages 9 - 12: June 26 - 27, 9am - 12pm Our camps are sponsored by the Davidson Academy of Nevada and graciously hosted by the University, of Nevada, Reno.
