Direct Care Professional (DCP)
208 Home care is looking for a compassionate, reliable caregiver to support a wonderful 55-year-old woman with hemiparesis affecting her left side. She uses a wheelchair, so experience with safe and confident transferring is essential. Schedule: Thursdays & Fridays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Caldwell- close to the College of Idaho About the Client: She’s vibrant, witty, and loves Disney movies and Mexican food. She has a great sense of humor and enjoys spending time with her loving family—she currently lives with some of her daughters, who are very involved in her care and support. Responsibilities Include: -Assisting with transfers (bed, wheelchair, bathroom, etc.) -Helping with personal care and hygiene -Light housekeeping and meal assistance -Provide companionship -Collaborating with family members to ensure consistent care Requirements: • Able to pass a background check through the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare • Able to pass a urine drug test (Prescribed medication is acceptable) • Must complete Direct Care Professional (DCP) Training or have equivalent training certificate (exempt w/ CNA/LPN/RN License) • Must have a valid form of government-issued Identification and proof of Employment Authorization to work in the United States. •Able to follow HIPAA guidelines, document accurately, and communicate effectively with your clients and with the office • Previous caregiving experience with mobility support and wheelchair transfers strongly preferred • Spanish speaking would also be beneficial but not required Pay: $16.50 per hour If you are interested in applying you can submit an application on our website: https://208homecareservices.com/application/ or you can send your resume to 208homecare@achspcs.com.
