Introduction to Practical Competition Shooting
This 4 hour course is for students who want to try their hand at the exciting, fast paced, action shooting sports like USPSA, IDPA, or Multi-Gun.
These sports are extremely fun, but also very demanding on the competitor. Your first match may be very stressful without prior exposure. This course will give you the knowledge and experience to help ensure your first match is a success.
This course will start with a short lecture covering key concepts you need to know to succeed, such as mindset, safety, and scoring.
The lecture will be followed by a live fire mini match simulation with coaching. The mini match will gradually introduce new skills and techniques with each stage. By the end you will have had many exposures to the range commands, the various starting positions, safely navigating a course of fire, and entering scores into the tablet. All of this in a safe environment where mistakes are coachable moments instead of a match disqualification.
