Scholarships for Young Bluegrass Musicians - SE Michigan

The Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association (SEMBMA) has established a fund to grant scholarship assistance to youth 13-18 years of age (although we will consider younger students if they show potential) who are interested in furthering their abilities to play bluegrass music through musical instrument or vocal lessons. Awards are to be used by the recipient toward payment for music instruction, either in person or online instruction. SEMBMA’s mission is to work together to preserve and promote bluegrass in Southeast Michigan. Providing aid to students of bluegrass music fits well with the Association mission. For more information and to secure an application form, please go to the SEMBMA website at https://smbluegrass.org/scholarships/ . For more information on the scholarships or SEMBMA, go to https://smbluegrass.org/contact/ , or visit the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SEMBMA/ . The Southeast Michigan Bluegrass Music Association was formed in July of 2014 to serve the bluegrass community in the greater southeast Michigan area, and is a 501(c)(3) and a Michigan non-profit entity.
