A gorgeous conversation piece! Beautiful antique wooden tube floor radio, General Electric model E-86. Here is a bit about this model, which seems to have been issued in 1936, from the online radio museum: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/general_el_e86.html This radio belonged to my grandfather and has been in the family ever since. It seems to be in good shape, though there is some cosmetic damage, which you can see in the photos and which should be pretty easy to fix. In addition to some scuffing, there is a bit of veneer missing on the lower left corner at the back. I have a strip of it that should be easy to re-attach, covering most (but not all) of the blank spot. I decided not to glue it back on, for fear of damaging the piece with an unsuitable type of glue. There is also a small strip of veneer missing on the lower right corner at the back. The tuner, speaker, and controls do seem to be working, and you can see the tubes glowing orange in one of the photos. However, I cannot guarantee that it's 100% functional.
