The way we decorate has changed dramatically. Casual, comfy interiors that reflect your personality are now the norm and for no better generation than this one that chows down on hygge and pop-culture for breakfast (cue the avocado cookbook, Bill Murray poster and cat meme plant holder).
Firstly, get yourself some grown up stuff such as a decent serving platter, a set of good gin goblets and an elegant robe for lounging. Invest in techie bits that move with the times such as this Netflix-friendly pocket-sized projector or for the purists, a retro vinyl player from Crosley. Millennials are also good at repurposing items such as ladders as towel racks and stools as bedside lockers which save space and give an instant update.
Have some fun with your decorations by splashing out on a Simpsons positive affirmation print or a ‘pivot’ cushion inspired by Friends. Nothing says Nineties kid more than this cryptic Clueless poster or a Harry Potter reference in your kitchen artwork.
