Loved by the likes of Kate Moss, Poppy Delevingne and Alexa Chung, if there’s a luxury brand that’s reached cult status in recent years, it’s Shrimps. The British fashion label, which launched in 2013, is renowned for its faux fur and beaded accessories, such as the Antonia beaded bag which has proven itself so popular among millennials that it sells out time and time again — as well as having spawned a thousand copies. But now, thanks to a new collaboration with high street retailer Warehouse, everyone can get their hands on a piece of Shrimps.
Launching later this month, the Shrimps x Warehouse Holiday Edit is a 40-piece collection that ranges from sundresses and T-shirts to jewellery, bags and hats, with a Fifties-style lime green gingham swimsuit, embroidered shirt and shorts coord (pictured below left), and lace-up espadrilles also featuring in the lineup.
Inspired by a hot summer’s day spent lounging on an Italian beach, drinking Campari Spritzes, the collaboration was the perfect opportunity for creative director Hannah Weiland to explore new territories and create a dreamy summer collection that is accessible to a wider demographic; with prices starting at €25, the capsule collection can certainly be considered more affordable than Shrimps’ mainline products but that’s not to say that quality has been scrimped on. Speaking about the collaboration, Weiland said, “I have a habit of choosing the most expensive fabrics wherever I am, so I can vouch for the quality of the collection.”
