Two weeks on from Karl Lagerfeld’s death, the designer and fashion legend’s final collection for the brand he helmed for more than 30 years took to the snow-covered runway in the Grand Palais, bringing Paris Fashion Week to a sombre close this season. It was a turning point in the French capital but not just for Chanel, for Celine too where Hedi Slimane took the house back to its bourgeoisie origins — pre-Philo — to much surprise and applause. It’s not the old Céline we came to know and adore over the past decade but with a new designer comes a new vision and a new story to tell, and just like Chanel, Celine has started a new chapter. Discover our favourite looks seen on the Parisian runway in the slideshow below and catch up on our fashion week round-up from London here.
