If you thought we were finally done with pink, think again, because last night the Oscars red carpet temporarily blushed pink as a host of stars opted for the joyfully feminine colour. Helen Mirren, Sarah Paulson, Kacey Musgraves, Kiki Layne, Maya Rudolph, even Aquaman star Jason Momoa who wore a velvet tuxedo by the late Karl Lagerfeld all looked pretty powerful in pink.
Of course, all eyes were firmly on Lady Gaga to see if she would win her first Academy Award — spoiler alert, she did —, and while the performer didn’t wear pink, she did wear an equally eye-catching 128 karat Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace last worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1961. It was Gemma Chan, however, who stole our gaze in a Pepto Bismol haute couture dress by Valentino. The Crazy Rich Asians star has remained true to her character’s fashion savoir-faire at every red carpet appearance in recent months, and last night’s appearance in Hollywood was no different. See her show-stopping look and more of our favourites in the slideshow below.
