Mark your calendars for November 8th because you are not going to want to miss this! Some of our favourite local independent businesses and designers have banded together to create Get Up, a fashion trail through Dublin which takes you on a self-guided tour of some of the city’s much-loved boutiques such as Scout, Indigo & Cloth, Nine Crows, Atrium, Om Diva and Hen’s Teeth. The evening promises to be full of talks, workshops, launches, and parties with cocktails on route courtesy of Disaronno.

To kick the night off, head to Scout in Temple Bar where they will be showcasing knitwear designer, Liadain Aiken. The designer herself will be there offering a workshop on darning, showing visitors how to breathe new life into old loved pieces. From Scout, visitors should move on to Indigo & Cloth where sculptor Daire O’Shea will be talking through the work he has created for the store’s window display to showcase the new-in autumn/winter pieces.

At Nine Crows, founders Emma Fraser and Dean Ryan McDaid will be interviewed about the success of their vintage and reworked clothing stores and their Dublin-based modelling and creative agency, Not Another. From Emma and Dean to Kate Nolan and Chupi Sweetman, the founders of Atrium, who will be giving attendees the chance to pick their brains about the future of sustainable fashion.

Join Om Diva next as they launch their new Irish designer collections for AW18 as well as their new in-house homeware range. They are also hosting workshops with some of the designers stocked in store such as Kiki Na Art, an artist and jeweller who will be talking all about the creative processes behind her incredible pieces, and goldsmith Janice Byrne who will be revealing the magic behind the making of a silver ring from start to finish.

The final stop on the fashion trail will be at Hen’s Teeth where they are hosting a launch party to celebrate the debut of their first in-house capsule collection. Created by lead designer Mel Keane, the collection will include limited edition T-shirts, scarves and sweatshirts.

If you are interested in attending, all stores involved will be extending their opening hours on the evening and access to the talks and showcases is free. As the tour is self-guided you are free to pop in and out as you please! After the trail, Get Up will be hosting an after-party in the Gold Bar at Hang Dai from 9 pm onwards with limited tickets available to win at participating stores.
