Are you passionate about the world of fashion? Are you creative? Could you be the next big thing? If so, keep reading.
As a nation, Ireland has produced some of the most exciting contemporary fashion creatives. From JW Anderson to Zoë Jordan, Paul Costelloe to Joanne Hynes, the list of Irish designers, both new and established, who have made their mark on the world of fashion is endless. Now though, the search for emerging Irish fashion designers ready to stamp their own distinctive mark and shape the future of fashion is on.
For the first time ever, world-renowned Italian beer brand, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, is investing in the future of fashion creatives with the launch of The Fashion Studio within The House of Peroni in Dublin and London. The House of Peroni is offering one Irish fashion creative a mentorship programme guided by an exclusive creative council, as well as a residency in a dedicated studio space in the fashion capital of London with access to professional equipment, and a presentation of their work at London Fashion Week. With world-class names such as Jonathan Saunders, Isabella Burley and Pandora Sykes involved, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.
Made up of leading industry professionals, the Creative Council will mentor, counsel and support the chosen Emerging Fashion Designer in the studio. Chosen for their wealth of industry knowledge and insider experience, the Council is made up of no fewer than five fashion experts all of who come from varying aspects of the industry to offer key insights and an in-depth understanding of the world of fashion.
Designer and former Chief Creative Officer of Diane Von Furstenberg, Jonathan Saunders is accompanied by fashion journalist and stylist, Pandora Sykes, who maven46 readers will know well, alongside the esteemed Isabella Burley of Dazed and Confused who last year was named the first-ever Editor-in-Residence of Helmut Lang. As one of fashion’s most respected critics and journalists, Alexander Fury also joins the panel while Anna Orsini, Strategic Consultant on the British Fashion Council no less, completes the lineup.
During the duration of the studio residency, the select designers will be afforded the incredible opportunity to hear these industry experts talk as well as attend events and invaluable workshops.
Whether you’re a womenswear or menswear designer, applications are officially open now until the 20th May, before the chosen few get whittled down to the final round. In order to enter, visit www.thehouseofperoni.com for more information. Please note that candidates from Ireland must be at least 25 years of age.
