Thanks to the re-boot of sci-fi movies like Blade Runner, we are seeing the resurgence of futuristic fabrics such as translucent vinyl and a selection of plastics in anything from slingbacks to full high-vis knee and thigh-high boots. Meet 2018’s answer to 1960s inspired futuristic movies, but make sure to prep your feet first!
What was once thought of as a passing trend, the trainer proves its mantle. And with its multitude of guises, it marks another season of comfort with style.
The iconic heel of the Nineties shows no sign of abating, and competing with a selection of heel heights on show this season, the kitten heel is standing its ground.

From short to long, worn with trainers, flats and evening sandals, it was a rare sight to see shoes worn without socks on the SS18 catwalks so get yourself acquainted with prep school. Wear with midi length dresses for best effect, or for the more daring, opt for sports socks built in à la 3.1 Philip Lim.
Disney has a lot to answer for this season as fairytale inspired princess shoes assert their influence on designers – even the minimalist Victoria Beckham’s collection includes a pair. A statement look for sure, avoid styling with other princess details; keep the rest of your look clean and use your shoes to add the drama.
White continues to catch the eye this season from boots to brogues and shoes. Whichever you choose, you’re on to a winner.
