Fashion is embracing all things feminine this season; the archetypal muse of the naked female figure is being celebrated in tones from mahogany to ivory with seductive sheer and pearlescent fabrics and in motifs of modernist line drawings inspired by the work of artists such as Matisse and Picasso. Indeed, the female form has become an Instagram sensation, from endless variations of face earrings to the most coveted shirt this summer from Paloma Wool. Even the interiors world is set to embrace the free nipple with the hugely popular Cold Picnic Private Parts rugs selling out across the net.
A subtler form of feminism than the slogan-baring attire are those that celebrate the female form in colour and shape, with designers such as Nina Ricci, Tod’s and Jenny Packham using skin tone leather and sheer chiffon, while Mara Hoffman outlined the face in a statement dress.
However, you wish to express yourself this season, do it in the nude.
