Dublin Tech Summit have announced that they will be offering 500 complimentary tickets for the event to women working in tech. This announcement comes as a bid to reduce the gender gap among the tech sector, which has been predominantly male-centric. The summit, which will take place over two days next February 15th and 16th in the Convention Centre, is an attempt at “reaffirming Dublin as the epicentre of innovation”.

This is the first year of the Dublin Tech Summit and themes for the event will be focused on business, fintech, the internet of things, medtech, big data, social enterprise and creativity. Speakers at the event will include Uber’s lead engineer Rafi Krikorian, MongoDB chief marketing officer Meagen Eisenberg and Adblock chief executive Till Faida. As well as PayPal vice-president of global operations Louise Phelan,  Hassle.com co-founder Jules Coleman, Startupboat founder Paula Schwarz, and Kathleen Mitchell, vice-president of Stella & Dot and Irish jewellery designer Chupi Sweetman.

The complimentary tickets are now available and will be offered on a first come first served basis. To see if you are eligible for these tickets visit DublinTechSummit.com.
