Zara has got us dreaming of warmer and sunnier climes today with its Spring/Summer 2016 campaign. Shot by fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, the campaign shines through the grey clouds making us want to buy everything in sight, plus a ticket to somewhere hot. Starring model of the moment, Lineisy Montero, who we’ll be seeing more of in the future, the beautiful setting of a white sanded beach is occupied by three models running around holding up tri-colour bombs and dancing on a bed. So just your usual day out at the beach, really.
Featuring light blue shirt dresses with splits at each side and backless draped maxi dresses in eccentric watercolour patterns, the shots scream youth and peace with an ode to nature thrown in. Styled by Fashion Editor of British Vogue Francesca Burns, the campaign embodies the free spirit in all of us. The relaxed and free flowing dresses look extremely comfortable for an easy laid-back look. Unlike past Zara campaigns, the Holi-esque photo shoot doesn’t include much more than dresses but Zara being Zara, you can always rely on the highstreet store to offer a range of trend-led pieces such as the season’s ‘It’ jacket, the bomber and bardot style tops, hitting the cold shoulder trend on the, well, shoulder.
Along with the delicate lace and floral patterns, Zara still keeps it simple with adding a few basics to the range like a khaki jumpsuit seen on Montero below.
Have we got you dreaming of summer yet? It’s hard to resist the urge to dress lighter at the slightest hint of sun in the sky, and while we may regret it when we’re shivering or soaked to the skin, pulling on summer clothing can do wonders for our state of mind. Thankfully, Zara’s effortlessly fresh summer collection is in stores now with more pieces dropping each week so a visit is more than warranted.
