With the launch of her newest album ‘Lemonade’ last week, Beyoncé fans around the world are going crazy for Queen Bey, and those who weren’t fans before are most likely recent converts due to the powerful and inspiring visual album. Since her debut with Destiny’s Child all those years ago, it’s as if anything Beyoncé touches turns to gold, so there’s no surprise that her recent venture with Sir Phillip Green of Topshop fame, was an instant success. Ivy Park is an athleisure brand focused on designing work-out clothes for every body shape. Beyoncé’s motivational persona which ricochets off women worldwide seemingly knows no bounds, as earlier this month saw the hugely successful release of Ivy Park. As we’ve heard many times before not least within songs such as; “I’m a Survivor”, “Run the World”, and of course “Independent Women”, Queen Bey is all about female empowerment. She revealed in an interview for Elle magazine that she wants the Ivy Park “to celebrate every woman and the body she’s in while always striving to be better.”
From sports bras and leggings for exercising, to more street-ready pieces such as logo sweaters and parkas, there is a varied range of activewear pieces in the collection. The standout piece for many are the line’s leggings which contain contour shorts, and are designed to enhance and flatter a range of body types. No better model for the collection than the exceptionally fit Beyoncé herself, she gave fans a sneak preview of the collection days before the drop with a video which she stars in with her dancers.
The range is quite affordable with pieces starting at €20 and with an extraordinary 200 pieces in the collection available in sizes XXS-XL, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Ivy Park is available to purchase from Net-a-Porter, Nordstrom and Topshop, so get your #girlsquad in ‘formation’ and get kitted out in this years hottest activewear.
