Primark’s High Summer collection is what we’ve all been waiting for. Time and time again, Primark’s eclectic range always seems to have an item for everybody and this season is no different, ticking off all the season’s biggest trends from statement jackets to faded denim. Wherever you are or wherever you might be thinking of going, this collection will take you from a mid-summer’s day to watching the sun go down.

Influenced by the Mardi Gras carnival type cultures that take the streets of Brazil, the collection’s bright eccentric pieces make us want to book the next flight to Rio. With the printed garments bursting in colour and textures, the primary colours come in vibrant orange, blues and green. The long tribal print maxi dress will have you looking like you just walked right off a Kenzo runway.

The animated trend screams energetic and fun, which is what the Carnival culture is all about. Bold prints and tassel trims are key parts to this summer story with pineapple print accessories giving us major Carmen Miranda vibes.

Soft pastels and crochet blouses are also style staples in the collection. Picking up where spring left off, the blush pinks and dusty blue shades will make the adjustment between seasons simple. Delicate sheer flower patterns and free flowing materials are shown throughout in refined shirts and dresses. Primark does it again, pairing summer’s biggest shoe trend, mules with another big trend, the cold shoulder detailing. We predict the romantic vibe will be huge this summer and that those mules will sell out fast!

Taking inspiration from the wild west, the collection takes a turn with frayed denim cut-offs and fringed waistcoats. For the festival goer, these garments aren’t just a want, they’re a need! Focusing mainly on the tone black, the modest garments are dressed up with eyelet detailing and statement accessories such as colourful tassel earrings and 70’s silver buckle belts. Band tees and crochet trousers give that edgy rocker vibe to the collection also.

Suedette, soft cotton and ditsy floral’s are still a summer favourite with an addition of chambray and checked prints. The collection has a young and fresh look to it with neutrals shades of white and navy complimenting each other perfectly. An emphasis on the carefree 70’s spirit, the look is as alluring as it is practical. Pretty denim and dainty prairie like cover ups are accessorised with Texan style neck ties and oversized fedoras.

Primark’s high summer collection will be gradually introduced to stores in the coming weeks. For more visit Primark.com or head in store.
