The runways were alive in September last year with fresh faces whose names we didn’t yet know strutting their stuff for Fashion Week SS16, but out of the newbies who are we set to see again (and make it big) in 2016? From Pooja Mor to Lineisy Montero, these girls have made it onto every catwalk and bagged themselves some of the biggest campaigns for Céline and Chanel, among others. 2016 looks set to be the year of the newcomers.

Maartje Verhoef

After being nominated for Model of the Year just last month, the Dutch beauty has got a big year ahead of her. With new campaigns for Moschino, Michael Kors and Dior Beauty under her belt and having walked in over 50 shows during the spring/summer season last year, we’re placing bets on Maartje joining the league of new Supers.

Louis Vuitton SS16

Karly Loyce

Karly was scouted on the streets of Paris and the first show she walked in (sporting her signature Afro no less) was Céline AW15, exclusively; if that doesn’t say enough then maybe her two Céline campaigns in one year will. Karly Loyce is helping to bring diversity to the forefront of fashion and set to go global.

Estelle Chen

From Dior to Kenzo, Estelle walked them all during the spring/summer 2016 catwalk season leading to models.com to name her as one of the Top Newcomers and we suspect one of the top models for 2016.

Dior SS16

Mathilde Brok Brandi

Another new Céline favourite is Mathilde Brandi, and with brows like that and a jawline to boot we can see why. Along with the French house, Victoria Beckham is also a fan of the Danish beauty, featuring her in her latest eyewear lookbook. The next Cara Delevingne?

Pooja Mor

You might have heard Pooja’s name last September after she took an infamous tumble on the runway for Givenchy (alongside pro, Candice Swanepoel) but she hasn’t let that affect her journey to the top. After walking in 17 shows and featuring in Prabal Gurung’s pre-fall 2016 lookbook, the Indian native looks set to have her biggest season yet in February.

Givenchy SS16

Lineisy Montero

Nobody was more in demand for SS16 than Lineisy Montero with a whopping 68 shows walked. Another girl to rock her natural black hair on the runway and in campaigns (Chanel and Prada included), Lineisy is going to be one of the biggest models of 2016.

Chanel SS16

Want to see these girls in action? You can watch the Dolce & Gabbana SS16 show in full below where Maartje, Estelle, Karly and Pooja all walked!
