Looking back on 2015, there is no doubt that denim was one of the big fashion stories of the year. Not only from a retailer point of view where sales of denim saw massive spikes due to the multitude of offerings put forward by designers and high street retailers alike. Big summer stories worth a mention would have been the perennial summer dress, the re-introduction of the flares, thanks to the 70s revival we have been living with and cropped lengths, from awkward ankle grazers with frayed hemlines to the culotte.

But sometimes denim can too easily be associated to the summer, with crop tops and bardot tops at the ready, but winter proofing your key denim choices just takes a little planning and a little more layering.

We have chosen 5 key styles that you can now reinvent for winter with the help of a few of our favourite styling friends.
