If you’re social media obsessed like me then you’ve probably seen the phrase “lady garden” popping up quite a bit this month. What’s that all about? Well, the celebrity-backed campaign ‘Lady Garden’, created by the Gynaecological Cancer Fund which kicked off last week, aims to raise awareness of gynaecological cancer and encourage young women to talk about their bodies more openly and make them more aware of the signs and symptoms of female cancers. The charity is newly formed and was set up by a group of nine women who have lost family or friends to female cancers.
Along with a hoard of well-known faces such as Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding and Amber le Bon, high-street giant, Topshop, has got on board with the campaign and released a limited edition sweater with 30% off the sweater’s proceeds going to the charity.
If you want to get involved upload a selfie wearing your Lady Garden sweater and hashtag #LadyGardenCampaign. Let’s get talking!
