Must Have Denim for all Body Shapes

With denim week still in full swing, we give you the lowdown on the key styles of the season to suit your body shape.

1. Skinny jeans

The staple trend is back again this season and hardly a day goes by that we don’t spot a celebrity out in a pair of skinny jeans. This style of jean suits petite and boy shapes as it gives narrow hips shape and helps elongate the body to make you appear taller. Pair with some pointy heels and a cute jumper to make the perfect autumn outfit.

2. Boyfriend

Great with flats, boyfriend jeans are a stylish and comfy alternative for day to night wear. Wear with a cute tee and shirt a la Jessica Alba or with strappy sandals and a crisp white shirt for night wear. Apple shapes should give this look a try as it provides a little more give at the waist band and the straight leg shows off your assets, while keeping up with current trends.

3. High-Waisted

Perfect for curvy girls, high-waisted jeans can accentuate the small waist line and slim your body by showing off all your best features. Follow Kim K’s lead by going denim on denim in these Zara high-waisted jeans or keep it chic in black like Irish blogger Anouska Brandon.

4. Distressed

The new “it” trend, if you’re only buying one pair of jeans this autumn make it distressed. This style can be dressed up like Olivia Palermo or keep it casual in converse and a woolly jumper.

5. Mom jeans

Mom jeans are back with a bang and don’t fret you won’t look like a frumpy 80’s throw back in these modern cut, which still give homage to the past styles. These flatter athletic and tall body types as they nip you in at the waist and show off your fabulous long legs, just like Victoria Secrets model, Candice Swanpoel.
