Karl Lagerfeld and ModelCo have launched a limited-edition colour cosmetics collection. To celebrate their launch on Tuesday, Paris was taken over in a guerrilla-style activation by 100 Karl Lagerfeld and ModelCo Beauty Butlers. The Butlers were wearing customized helmets with 3D cartoon reinterpretations of Karl himself. The helmet design is also a key element of the collection, appearing on the Lip Lights Lip Gloss product, among others.
The helmeted butlers took over key landmarks throughout Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, Tuileries, Champs Elysées, Saint-Germain-des- Près, Montparnasses and Opéra. Their final performance took place at Place Vendôme in front of the Hotel D’Evreux where the official launch event took place. The Hotel D’Evreux was transformed with hot pink décor and installations, a nod to ModelCo signature hot pink look.
Known for being the creative director of fashion powerhouses Channel and Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld has used his own eponym company to team up with Australian beauty company, ModelCo. ModelCo has a strong reputation for creating first-to-market innovative beauty products and has achieved cult status through its numerous celebrity ambassadors and collaborations including Elle Macpherson, Dannii Minogue, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Baldwin.
The limited-edition collection will feature more than 50 products and is now available through Karl Lagerfeld stores, MODELCO.COM and key exclusive retailers such as Douglas, Nocibe, Cult Beauty and Galeries Lafayette.
