Move over HD brows, this season we’re favouring a more natural approach by replacing bold arches and accentuating our own eyebrow shape instead. We caught up with internationally acclaimed makeup artist Emeline Leduc to find out what she had to say about this season’s top brow trend.
“Eyebrows really matter. Whether you prefer a natural face or full makeup, brows are the frame that holds it all together, giving your face both structure and balance. A more sophisticated brow is emerging this season, which shows up the exaggerated arches seen all over Instagram. As far as colour is concerned, go one shade lighter than your natural hair colour.”
When applying product to the brow, Leduc advises using “a light stroking motion through the brow, preferably leaving the bulb lighter than the arch. This will give you that AW17 catwalk look.”
According to Emeline, “Using the combination of the Sumita eyebrow pencil and brow highlighter will help achieve a full natural brow in minutes. The soft, intense and long-wear formula is an ideal tool to incorporate into your makeup look as it possesses the ability to transform even the most unruly, sparse or over-plucked brows within seconds. The highlighter is perfect for shedding light to the brow bone and can double up as a highlighter for the cheekbones and Cupid’s bow. The iridescent formula will give you a lustrous, eye-opening finish that most of us yearn for.”
