We are suffering from Spring fever here at maven46, the change of the season has brought with it the scents of freshly blossoming flora and the aroma of citrusy summer fruits. There is no better time to freshen up your signature scent and embrace the change in the season for a fresher springtime fragrance. Scroll down to see our top 5 perfumes that harness the sensual power of the season…

1. Marc Jacobs – Daisy Kiss

Meet the newest member of the Daisy family, from Marc Jacobs, the Kiss. This lastest version launched early this year and has a far more fruity composition than its sister fragrances. The sweet smell of pomelo is contrasted by acidness of pomelo. It has a woody-musky background and osmanthus, white peony and pink rose its heart. Finally, cedar, ambrox and musk can be felt at the base. We love the pink jar, and of course, it wouldn’t be a Daisy fragrance without a bunch of flowers on top.

2. Chloé – Love Story Eau Sensuelle

As you can see, citrus and floral notes are the main characteristics of the latest member of the Chloe’s Love Story trilogy.  Based on Parisian romance, its design is inspired by the love padlocks on the bridge of Pont des Arts. It contains similar trait to its distinctive fragrance line: orange blossom, but it is sweeter than the previous perfumes and more romantic. What makes it velvety is the helitrope and sandalwood, like vanilla in character. The fruity smell is provided by the pear, most present on the top notes, accompanied by the lemon, which reinforces the acid touch. Despite this, floral hues are at the heart of this scent!

3. Chanel – Chance Eau Tendre

The latest reinterpretations of the 2010 Chanel perfume, Chance, characterised by a tender smell of grapefruit, jasmine and cedar. Its creator, Jacques Polge, also added the unique scents of hyacinth and iris for a floral touch. The new perfume comes in a light pink shade, similar to the pastel colours of the Eau Fraîche in light green and the Eau Vive in light orange. The minimalism and sophistication of the bottle is mirrored in this scent, with floral and sweet touches.

4. Jean Paul Gaultier – Classique Wonder Woman

Do you ever wonder what superheroes would smell like? Jean Paul Gaultier has taken on this challenge by reinventing his Classique and Le Male decorating it with the iconic DC Comics figures of Wonder Woman and Superman. Wonder Womans scent is bittersweet, opening with lemon, ginger and sugar cane. After the initial burst of fragrance, flowers like tiare, jasmine and orange blossom can be identified. The base of the perfume stays sweet with vanilla but it also maintains its balance thanks to musk and net-labdanum. This perfume is more than a fancy bottle, it is perfect for sunniest days, but is also perfect for nighttime adventures.

5. Calvin Klein – Eternity

To finish up, we reserved a Springtime classic: Eternity. This perfume was created in 1988 by Calvin Klein as a tribute to his marriage. As one of the most successful perfumes from the brand, its prominently floral and opens with fresh citrus, that is then followed by the touch of violet and lily-of-the-valley. The signature spiciness is comes from carnation. The long lasting aroma soaks into your skin with heliotrope, pink sandalwood and musky hues, divine!
